You can upload images directly into your page from your desktop computer, if your browser supports http-upload. (Netscape Navigator 2.0 or later and Internet Explorer 4.0 or later support http-upload.)
You can fill in the name of the image file or you can browse the files on your hard disk to find the file you want to upload.
Note, that for each image the type of the expected file is defined by the expected extension (such as "jpg" for image files in JPEG-format). You cannot upload a file with different extension.
The maximal size of the file is also defined for each image. The upload will not accept larger images. The defined maximal size has been tested to produce optimal results on most monitors. Larger images would result in slow download of the web-page without any improvement in the quality of the images on most monitors.
